Common questions
Where are my documents stored?
Web app:directly in your own Google Drive, in a folder called “Docrux”. We never store your files on our servers.
Mobile app: on your device, encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Optionally synced to iCloud (iOS) or Google Drive (Android).
Do I need an account?
The mobile app works without any sign-in. The web app requires a Google account because it stores documents in your Google Drive.
How do I delete my data?
Web app:delete individual documents from your vault, or remove the “Docrux” folder from your Google Drive. We hold no copies.
Mobile app: delete documents from the vault, or uninstall the app. All data is on your device.
Is Docrux free?
The free tier includes 30 documents, 5 active checklists, and all core features. An optional Pro subscription is available for higher limits, custom fields, and Google Drive import.
My document expired. Will Docrux remind me?
Yes. Docrux sends local notifications at 90, 30, and 7 days before expiry, and on the day of expiry. On the web app, expiry banners appear on the dashboard.
Can I share a document?
On mobile, use the share button to send a document via the native share sheet. On the web app, generate a 24-hour link from the document detail screen.
